Providing individuals and families therapeutic support in resolving addictive behaviors, co-occurring disorders, co-dependency, and stressful life transitions.
As an Addiction Social Worker, I specialize in empowering individuals to resolve addictive behaviors via support and counseling. With an extensive working knowledge of diverse recovery approaches, including family recovery, I feel privileged to help individuals with substance use disorders and their families create change and enjoy productive, meaningful lives. As research shows, addicted individuals often struggle with additional challenges, such as trauma, grief, and mental health disorders and I recognize that quality treatment must be comprehensive to include treatment of these issues and the addictive behaviors. I achieve this by counseling clients in the individual, group, and family settings.
In addition to treating substance use disorders, I treat co-occurring disorders, co-dependency, as well as stressful life transitions using cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, motivational interviewing, as well as principles from solution-focused therapy. I provide comprehensive client assessments as well as clinical supervision to other professionals in the therapy field.
I also have extensive experience working with professionals and executives, understanding their specific needs. After working in the helping profession since 2004, I hold a Master of Social Work degree and a Clinical Social Work License in Pennsylvania. Also, I have a certification as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
I am also passionate about supporting other professionals in the helping profession. I am a Certified Peer Support Specialist Supervisor with experience supervising other clinicians and Licensed Social Work (LSW) interns in a Clinical Supervisor role as well as professionals in both the Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) and Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) in institutional and community settings. I enthusiastically welcome the opportunity to continue supporting other professionals via clinical supervision.
